When designing your project, notice that there are two rectangles - a black rectangle and a blue rectangle. The black rectangle represents the actual size of the ticket while the blue rectangle represents the printable area of the ticket. The printable area is determined by the margins that your printer cannot print past. Therefore, in order to ensure that each ticket prints out the same, TicketBench/RaffleBench creates a margin around each ticket that cannot be printed on. If an object in your project extends past the edge of the printable area into this margin, only the part within the printable area will be printed.
TicketBench/RaffleBench automatically detects the margins for your default printer. If you do not plan on using the default printer to print your project, you will need to enter the printer margins for the printer you will be using.
Open the Printer Margin Layout window by clicking on the Printer menu and selecting Margin Layout. If you know the correct printer margins, enter them into the corresponding fields and press the OK button. If you do not know the proper printer margins, you will need to:
Draw a horizontal line that extends past the left and right of the ticket.
Draw a vertical line that extends past the top and bottom of the ticket.
Print a single page to the printer that you want to find the margins for.
Using a ruler, measure from the top of the page to where the line started printing. This is the top printer margin. Repeat this to determine the left, right, and bottom margins.
Open the Printer Margin Layout window and enter the values obtained in Step 6 in their corresponding fields.
Press the OK button.
You can reset the printer margin values to the margins for the default printer at any time by pressing the Defaults button.
