To add an image to the project, click on the Image button in the toolbar. Then, on the workbench, move the mouse to the location you want the image to appear at. Click the left mouse button and a file browser will open. Browse to the image you want to add to the project and press the Open button. The selected image will appear on the workbench. The image must be in one of the following formats: BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, ICO, TIF, TGA, PCX, WBMP, and WMF EMF.
To resize the image, click on it once to select it and move the mouse over one of the black 'handles' round the edge of the image. Press and hold the left mouse button, then drag the mouse until the image is the desired size. Release the left mouse button to finish. Moving a handle on a corner of the image will move two sides of the image. Moving a handle in the middle of a side will just move that side.
Holding the Shift or Ctrl key on the keyboard while reshaping the image will force the width and height to remain proportionally the same.
To move an image, move the mouse over it, then press and hold the left mouse button. Drag the mouse until the image is in the desired position. Release the left mouse button to finish.
Double click on an image to open the Image Properties window. In the Image Properties window you can change the following properties:
Image Width: The width of the image in pixels. If the Maintain Aspect Ratio checkbox is checked, the image height will change in order to keep the width and height proportionally the same.
Image Height: The height of the image in pixels. If the Maintain Aspect Ratio checkbox is checked, the image width will change in order to keep the width and height proportionally the same.
Image Location: The path to the image on your computer. You can change the image that appears in the project by pressing the Redirect Image button. This is similar to deleting the current image and adding a new one, except redirecting the image keeps the width and height the same.z
There are a variety of operations you can perform on an image after it has been added to the project. To perform an operation on an image, click on the image once to select it, then click on the Image menu. Select Operations and choose one of the following operations:
Flip Horizontal: Flip the image horizontally.
Flip Vertical: Flip the image vertically.
Rotate 90° Left: Rotate the image 90° counter-clockwise.
Rotate 90° Right: Rotate the image 90° clockwise.
Gray Scale: Convert the image to gray scale. This can improve the image quality when printing to a gray scale printer.
Dither: Convert the image to black and white. This can improve the image quality when printing to a black and white printer. Most new printers are grayscale, not black and white.
Negative: Invert all the colors on an image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise
There are a variety of filters you can apply to an image after it has been added to a project. To apply a filter to an image, click on the image once to select it, then click on the Image menu. Select Filters and choose one of the following filters:
Lighten: Increase the amount of light in the image, resulting in a brighter image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
Darken: Decrease the amount of light in the image, resulting in a darker image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
Soften: Slightly blur the image creating "softer" lines in the image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
Sharpen: Reduce the amount of blur in an image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
Increase Contrast: Increase the difference between light and dark areas in the image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
Decrease Contrast: Decrease the difference between light and dark areas in the image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
Edge: Detect the edges of areas in the image and draw an outline around them. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
Emboss: Convert the image into a three-dimensional image. Available In: TicketBench Pro, TicketBench Enterprise.
